Eventually, fans turned on her, and she retired from the global sports entertainment juggernaut in 2023.

Following her departure, The Baddest Woman on the Planet wrestled in Tony Khan’s second promotion, ROH, a couple of times. Many assumed that after the bad experience at WWE, she might never enter the AEW ring again. However, at Revolution 2026, she appeared and confronted Toni Storm, who had recently defeated her longtime friend, Marina Shafir.

Unfortunately, after their blockbuster confrontation, Ronda Rousey was nowhere to be seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion. A recent report claimed that she is currently done with the promotion. Let’s take a look at some of the signs that she may never return to All Elite Wrestling again.

Reports following the Revolution pay-per-view indicate that the only reason the Rowdy appeared in AEW was due to convenience. An update claimed that the appearance was convenient for her as she lives near Los Angeles. Tony Khan also stated that the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion was on the pay-per-view just to support Death Rider’s Marina Shafir.

It seems like Ronda Rousey had no intention of partaking in an AEW event in the future. She was just in the promotion, as the timing was right for her.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet retired from MMA in 2016, as she had concussion issues. For the last decade, she wrestled in WWE. However, she is set to return to the MMA ring this May. She will face Gina Carano in a Netflix event on May 16. Fans have been very excited for Rowdy’s return.

It seems like Ronda Rousey is busy promoting and preparing for her fight, which is just a few weeks away. She will barely have time on her hands down the line.

Reports claimed that the former AEW Women’s World Champion will not be seen on AEW television for the rest of 2026. So far, the reason for her absence is still unclear. It was recently known that she isn’t injured, meaning her hiatus was planned. This indicates that she was never meant to engage in a program with The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
