An AEW top star is currently embroiled in a heated feud with Kenny Omega. This led him to make a major accusation against him and his longtime allies, The Young Bucks.

The aforementioned star, who is a former AEW World Champion, is Swerve Strickland. The Mogul turned heel after his last singles bout with Omega on Dynamite a few weeks ago. The Cleaner returned at the 2026 Revolution pay-per-view to fend off an attack by Strickland on Brody King.

The two stars are set to collide in a high-stakes rematch this week on Dynamite. It will see both Strickland’s World title shot and Kenny Omega’s EVP status on the line. Recently, a fan pointed out to Strickland that many stars have run interference in his and The Young Bucks’ matches during their time as EVPs in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The trio used to abuse the corporate power for their own benefit in the company and cause chaos in their matches; however, multiple babyface stars would run in to stop their efforts. The former WWE star took notice and replied to the fan via his X account.

AEW star Kenny Omega on working with an MMA Fighter for a non-wrestling project

Kenny Omega has also been involved in projects outside All Elite Wrestling. He performed the motion capture for the character of Alex in Street Fighter 6. Following that, he recently revealed that he enlisted the help of Japanese MMA Fighter Takeshi Izumi in the project.

“I couldn’t mention the name until the time was right, but this is the “strong MMA fighter” that helped me with some of the motion capture! Introducing Takeshi Izumi! He did the lvl 3 and CA but they came off so great I might do them in matches one day too! 👊😬,” posted Omega.

With his match against Swerve Strickland rapidly approaching, it will be a must-see encounter on AEW Dynamite this week.
