Senators’ Thomas Chabot exits game vs. Rangers with apparent injury
Thomas Chabot exited Monday’s game against the New York Rangers after he was slashed by J.T. Miller at the end of the first period.
Chabot was not on the bench to start the second. He immediately grabbed his right arm in pain as he skated to the bench.
The Senators already are missing defencemen Jake Sanderson and Nick Jensen to injury.
Another injury on the back end would be a tough blow for a Senators team trying to climb back into a playoff spot. Ottawa entered the night four points behind the New York Islanders for the second and final wild-card berth in the Eastern Conference.
Chabot, picked 18th overall by Ottawa in 2015, has seven goals and 24 assists in 55 games this season.
He missed 15 games earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
