Union members voted 89 per cent in favour of ending the strike, according to a statement from CUPE 3912, which represents 133 NSCAD employees. Sixty-three votes were cast.
Kyla Mallett, NSCAD vice-president and provost, said in a statement on Friday that the union agreed to join the university in first-contract arbitration and end the strike.
NSCAD employees formed a union in 2023 but failed to reach a contract agreement with the university. They began the strike on March 4.
