“Tempers flare, violence on his mind” – Aleister Black breaks silence after destroying 8-time champion on WWE SmackDown
Aleister Black broke his silence after beating Sami Zayn in a singles match on WWE SmackDown. Black sent a message after his win over the former 4-time Intercontinental Champion.
Black returned to WWE on the April 25th, 2025 edition of SmackDown. The company teased his return for weeks by airing vignettes. He became an official member of the SmackDown brand after setting his sights on The Miz on his first night back in the Stamford-based company.
Thanks for the submission!
On Instagram, Black boasted about his win over Zayn after SmackDown. He got the job done with a brutal Black Mass.
“Tempers flare, violence on his mind yet still a thousand yard stare. While they fight in what they’ve spun, Black pulls strings, and Black has won” wrote Black.

Aleister Black opened up about his viral moment with Randy Orton
Aleister Black and Randy Orton were involved in a singles match quite recently on SmackDown, with Black emerging victorious. The two shared a viral moment during the match.
Speaking with Forbes, Black opened up about the moment. He said:
“This was the first button of what should be a lot more. Obviously, you never know, because the things in our industry change so quickly. But with that reaction, and with the viewership, and with the viral clips coming out of that match, clearly a lot of people were highly interested in it. There’s such a style contrast, and I think that’s what captivated people a lot, where with myself I think forever I’ll be seen as this guy from NXT, where he made his name in the WWE and rose through the ranks. Orton being a generational wrestler coming from a third generation himself and having made such a name for himself at a young age, still being at the highest echelon in a completely different style and a different era being brought up,”
Aleister Black’s direction heading into WrestleMania 42 remains unknown.
