“Get this nerd out my club!”, “The circus will continue” – Chelsea fans want massive change after 3-0 loss to Everton

Chelsea fans are calling for Liam Rosenior and the club’s sporting directors to be sacked following their 3-0 loss to Everton in the Premier League. The Blues have now lost four matches in a row for the first time since 1993.

Everton opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, with Beto going through on goal. The striker made no mistake after getting in behind the Chelsea defender and chipping the ball past the onrushing Robert Sanchez.

The striker doubled his tally in the 62nd minute before assisting the third goal scored by Iliman Ndiaye. The Blues faithful who traveled to watch the match in the stadium were all out before the final whistle.

Meanwhile, the Chelsea fans on social media were calling for the decision-makers and Rosenior to be sacked and posted:

Liam Rosenior spoke to the media after the game, taking responsibility for the defeat and said:

“Yes, 100%. Responsibility and accountability are with me. We played in a different way and dropped the team a little bit deeper, working on a 4-4-2 shape. I felt we were comfortable in the game.”

Talking about the fans in the stadium, he added:

“For sure. They pay their money, they love this club and they have come a long way. It’s a disappointing time for the club at the moment [because of the last week]. It hurts to lose games of football. We’re one point away from a Champions League position. Hopefully this break now comes at a good moment for us.”

Chelsea players split for the international break this weekend and will be back in action against Port Vale in the FA Cup when they return.

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior comments on Everton defeat

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior admitted that his side failed to do much in the defeat to Everton. He said that they were giving away chances and said:

“Goals give you energy, and at the moment we are gifting goals away. Two poor goals when we started the game edgy. First 10-15 mins, cheap giveaways, then we play our way into the game. It seems to be happening too often. The last week we have given cheap goals away, and what that does is get the crowd and energy of the opposition; their confidence goes up. In the end Everton deserved the victory. It’s something we need to improve very, very quickly.”

The Blues are sixth in the Premier League with seven matches left in the league.
