Homicide detectives are investigating the “suspicious” death of a 60-year-old woman who was found lifeless in a North York home last week.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a call at the home near Threadneedle Cr. and Cresthaven Dr. – south of Steeles Ave. E. – around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

“It is reported that the victim was located deceased inside a residence,” police said in a statement released late Friday.
“The circumstances in which the victim was found were deemed to be suspicious,” cops added.
The victim has since been identified as Xian Wei Shao, of Toronto.
Police said she has now been deemed to be the city’s fourth homicide victim of the year.

WOMAN EXPECTED TO SURVIVE SCARBOROUGH STABBING
A woman suffered serious stab wounds in a violent altercation at a family home in West Hill on Saturday.
But she is expected to survive.
Toronto Police say officers responded to the residence near Lawrence Ave. E. and Manse Rd. – east of Morningside Rd. – shortly before the noon-hour.
A woman was found with “multiple stab wounds,” police said in a statement posted on X, explaining the victim was “being treated by paramedics.”
A man in his 30s was identified as a suspect and taken into custody.
No further details of the altercation were released by cops and there was no immediate word on charges.
“All parties are related to each other,” Police said.

MAN, 18, WANTED FOR ASSAULT IN EAST YORK
An 18-year-old man is sought for shoving a woman as she entered a restaurant in East York last week.

Toronto Police say officers responded to the assault call in the area of Don Mills Rd. and Gateway Blvd. – south of Eglinton Ave. E. – on Thursday.
“It is alleged that the victim was walking into a restaurant when the suspect approached her,” police said in a statement released Saturday.
Police claim the man “lunged” at the woman and “pushed her,” then fled the area.
“The victim and the suspect are known to each other,” police said.

Investigators have now identified the suspect and released images of the man they are looking for.
Nour Eddin Nouman, of Toronto, is wanted for two counts of failing to comply with a release order, two counts of criminal harassment and one count of assault.
He’s described as having a medium build, short black hair and a black moustache. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hooded sweater, grey sweatpants and white Nike Airforce shoes.
