WWE backs down before WrestleMania 42; huge change made
WWE has made some major changes to its policies ahead of WrestleMania 42. The grand event is scheduled for April 18-19 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Over the years, WrestleMania has morphed into a week-long extravaganza for wrestling fans. WWE and TKO have made the event a must-see for wrestling fans, and the host city attracts spectators from across the globe to see their favorite stars in the Showcase of Immortals. In the lead-up to the show, some news outlets reported that the company was planning on instituting a blackout of WrestleMania watch parties within 50 miles of the venue.
Thanks for the submission!
This week, Fightful reported that there was a lot of positive momentum on organizing Vegas watch parties. On Friday, Circa Las Vegas’ Stadium Swim revealed that the ban had been lifted. This would allow locations to host watch parties, provided they license the PLE through Joe Hand Promotions. The report stated that over the last few weeks, several casinos, hotels, and general tourist areas in Vegas had expressed frustration over the ban. Some city officials were also not happy with the company’s blackout policies. Several venues have spoken with the promotion about the matter and are confident about securing the hosting rights.

WWE had instituted a ban for Elimination Chamber
This is not the first time the TKO-owned corporation has thought of putting a ban on watch parties. The idea behind the blackout was to help boost ticket sales for their events.
Ahead of the Elimination Chamber PLE in Chicago last month, the company had called for a similar blackout. The blackout rules prohibited Chicago-area bars and venues from hosting the Elimination Chamber watch parties. After the news broke on social media, the company faced backlash from the fans, with a section of the WWE Universe calling out the company for corporate greed.
