Jon Moxley finally breaks silence on his Death Riders stablemate Wheeler Yuta going bald

AEW star Jon Moxley discussed his fellow Death Rider Wheeler Yuta’s shocking actions. The former AEW World Champion is known for keeping his word. Whether he was a babyface or a heel in the promotion, he hasn’t backed away from what he says.

At Grand Slam Australia, Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy wrestled Marina Shafir and Yuta in a hair vs. hair contest. Unfortunately, the Death Riders lost the match. After the defeat, Wheeler tried to run backstage to avoid the embarrassment. However, the Purveyor of Violence told Yuta not to back away and forced him to cut his hair.

While speaking on Close Up, Jon Moxley said that Marina and Wheeler took a huge risk by putting their hair on the line. Despite losing, the Ace was proud that Yuta stuck to his word and cut his hair in the middle of the ring.

“You’re only as good as your word, and him and Marina and Tony and Orange, they really put it on the line. They took a big risk. You know, a lot of people would not want to risk the humiliation of being shaven in the middle of the ring on live TV, beamed across the entire world in an arena full of people. That takes guts. So I think it’s a big win for everybody. I think it shows Wheeler’s character, that he took the risk and he stepped up and he took it on the chin and every day he looks in the mirror, he can know that he took it on the chin and he stayed true to his word. I think that’s a victory,” he said. [H/T – Fightful]

Jon Moxley heaped praise on Konosuke Takeshita

The former AEW World Champion is set to face the Alpha with his Continental Championship on the line at the Revolution pay-per-view this Sunday. As their last bout ended in a time-limit draw, the two stars will have no time limit during the high-stakes match.

While speaking on Close Up, Jon Moxley said that he is impressed by Konosuke Takeshita’s recent work and called him one of the best.

“Takeshita, especially over the last year or two, has impressed me a great deal. I think probably Takeshita might be the best guy in AEW. If there was one guy that I wouldn’t totally bet the farm that I’m 100% sure I can take him out, that’s Takeshita,” he said.

It will be interesting to see who walks out as the Continental Champion at Revolution.
