“I don’t do well with that” – Maxxine Dupri opens up on personal struggles regarding her WWE career
Maxxine Dupri has opened up on personal struggles regarding her WWE career. The 28-year-old has been signed with the promotion since 2021 and has been seen in different roles during this tenure.
Currently, she is on RAW as part of The Alpha Academy and has found her place as a singles star. During an appearance on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, Maxxine reflected on her wrestling journey and was asked what was the hardest part about WWE for her.
Thanks for the submission!
The former Women’s Intercontinental champion said sometimes being on the road and travelling away from home can be challenging, but it is also something she enjoys. She then mentioned that learning to wrestle has been hard as well, but that is what she signed up for.
She then revealed dealing with the comments about her on social media, especially on X, is very hard for her.
“The part that’s truly hard is like mentally being away from home, and you’re probably, like, so numb to this, but for me, sometimes if I catch a glimpse of something online, I don’t do well with that. So that’s why I got to stay off X,” she said.
She said while she uses Instagram and TikTok, she stays away from X, especially due to how things can escalate on the social media platform.
Maxxine Dupri revealed she wasn’t supposed to wrestle in WWE initially
Maxxine Dupri made her WWE debut in 2022 on SmackDown as the on-screen Director of Talent of the Maximum Male Models faction. She remained their manager when the stable was moved to RAW a year later.
However, her first match in the promotion came after she joined The Alpha Academy. During the conversation on IMPAULSIVE, she revealed when she was called up, there were no plans for her to wrestle.
Maxxine Dupri said even though she wanted to compete in the ring, WWE wasn’t planning to use her as a wrestler. That changed after she made her in-ring debut on RAW in 2023 and pinned Valhalla of The Viking Raiders in a mixed tag team match.
