How to complete The Final Retreat quest in Where Winds Meet Hexi update


The Final Retreat in Where Winds Meet is a Wandering Tale that you can find in Squarewall Hold in the Jade Gate Pass. In this tale, you must talk to an NPC named Granny Pan and find the gong fragments for her. It is a pretty simple quest, and completing it will give you several in-game rewards, such as Echo Jade, Hexi Exploration, and Coins.

To start The Final Retreat Wandering Tale, you must first complete A Tassel and a Tale Wandering Tale in the Heroic Tomb. Once that is done, speak with Granny Pan to get the first clue for the quest. Next, you must find all three gong fragments in the Squarewall Hold.

Bronze Gong Fragment I location

The first gong fragment is located on the roof of a building south of the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone.

Bronze Gong Fragment II location

Head southwest to find the second fragment inside a ruined house.

After picking up the second fragment, go northwest and climb the watch tower to find the last fragment. Picking it up will trigger a cutscene.

Return to Granny Pan and Young Yichao

Once you’ve obtained all three Bronze Gong Fragments, go to the building south of the water tower to meet up with Granny Pan and Young Yichao.

Reach the top of the ruins

After talking to Granny Pan and Young Yichao, use the leap skill on the floating rocks and follow the invisible path leading to the top of the ruins.

Ring the gong

Finally, ring the gong at the top of the ruins. This will trigger another cutscene and conclude The Final Retreat Wandering Tales in Where Winds Meet.

As a reward, you will get 40 Echo Jades, 10 Hexi Exploration, some Coins, and Character EXP.
