Supergirl looking to exploit Yu Yau Pui’s weakness in atomweight Muay Thai clash: “She isn’t very skilled”
Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak has studied Yu Yau Pui closely, found what she respects, and found what she plans to target — and she’s not shy about sharing either.
The Thai striking specialist faces the Hong Kong striker at ONE Fight Night 41: Sinsamut vs. Jarvis on Prime Video on Friday, March 13, live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.
Supergirl arrives with a thorough read on her opponent already locked in, and in an interview with ONE Championship, she laid out her scouting report with refreshing directness.
“Yu Yau Pui’s scariest strength is her heart. She is incredibly tough and keeps pressing forward relentlessly. I have to find a way to counter her, so she isn’t the only one attacking. Her weakness, however, is that she isn’t very skilled in the Muay Thai clinch game. I’m ready to use my more comprehensive set of weapons to attack her,” Supergirl shared.

The 22-year-old returns to the global stage of ONE Championship in need of a bounce-back win after falling to a stunning first-round loss to Spanish bruiser Cristina Morales at ONE Fight Night 16 in November 2023.
She endured a wave of online criticism after that defeat, and even contemplated retirement at one point. However, the striking specialist has turned that into fuel heading into her pivotal atomweight Muay Thai clash against Yu at ONE Fight Night 41 this Friday.
Like Supergirl, Yu Yau Pui is fired up to return to form at ONE Fight Night 41
Supergirl’s determination to get her hand raised at ONE Fight Night 41 is off the charts. However, the same can be said for Yu Yau Pui, who arrives in this atomweight Muay Thai battle in search of a much-needed win.
The 33-year-old striker demolished her first five assignments on the global stage of ONE Championship en route to a $100,000 contract and a spot on the main roster of the promotion.
In her American primetime debut, Yu extended her pristine slate to 6-0 with a three-round clinic against Spain’s Lara Fernandez at ONE Fight Night 20 in March 2024.
However, the 33-year-old has gone down in back-to-back appearances ever since. She was put to sleep in one round against Scottish slugger Amy Pirnie before suffering a split-decision defeat to Martyna Dominczak.
She vows to put Supergirl to sleep, but she’ll need to be on top of her game to do so given the Thai’s striking credentials.
North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire U.S. primetime card live on March 13.
