Maxxine Dupri had to undergo unimaginable pain and tragedy in 2017 when she lost her brother and her uncle in a tragic car accident. She detailed the events to Logan Paul during his podcast.

Former Intercontinental Women’s Champion, Maxxine Dupri, appeared on the latest episode of the ImPaulsive podcast, where she discussed a wide array of topics. However, in this article, we’re focusing on the tragic passing of her uncle and her brother, Wyatt, who passed away in a car crash nearly a decade ago.

Speaking to Logan Paul and Mike Maljak, Maxxine would detail the events of the tragic incident that led to her uncle and brother Wyatt’s passing:

“We grew up in North Cal, but kind of like in the country, so it’s in the middle of nowhere, and it’s like, two lanes going this way and two lanes going the other way, and it’s like, fields. And the Lyft driver pulled over, and my uncle had texted his son and said, ‘Will you pick me up at Bill’s house?’, which is my dad’s house, ‘This driver is not great’. There’s a car coming, and it’s going like 80 (miles per hour), and when it gets like five seconds away, he pulls out in front of the car, and the car smashed into them. So my brother died on impact, and my uncle, his seat, exploded to the back of the car. So he was in a coma for three months before he passed away.”

Maxxine Dupri finds herself in a bit of a tough spot creatively

Maxxine Dupri looked like she was on top of the world in 2025, right towards the end, as she became the third Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Her run wouldn’t last for too long as she dropped the title back to Becky Lynch, and Natalya would then turn on her, kick-starting their feud as well as a whole new personality for the veteran.

Maxxine Dupri has been a beloved figure among the WWE Universe despite her lack of experience, showing that wrestling ability alone isn’t what forges a connection with the audience. Since that turn from Nattie, the two have been engaged in a bitter feud, with the veteran getting the better of Maxxine.

However, on the March 9th episode of RAW, things finally changed as Nattie was in an interview, and this time, it was Maxxine who struck her from behind to get a modicum of revenge for what she was put through. It’s a testing time for Maxxine in her career, and perhaps even career-defining based on the way she responds to it all.
