The latest big overhaul to the Rogers Centre over this past off-season as part of a $400-million, multi-year project was upgrading a section in the 200 Level behind home plate, transforming the area into Rogers Terrace.

What is the Rogers Terrace?

The new area is touted as a brand new “premium” space at Rogers Centre, with the members-only section offering “an elite vantage point to watch your Blue Jays, steps away from an elegant outdoor terrace, with an immersive elevated culinary experience at every turn.”

Initial renderings showed a clear view from inside of the stadium to an open outdoor lounge area offering a view of the CN Tower next door.

“With prime baseball views from the 200 level directly behind home plate, this premium club is so much more than a seat at the game — it’s an elegant escape connected to every moment of the action, and your exclusive membership to experience Toronto Blue Jays baseball in luxury,” the team’s website reads.

Rogers Terrace purportedly will feature a large variety of food options, including wood-fired pizza, a sushi bar, cheese and charcuterie, as well as a dessert bar.

However, if you’re hoping to score a membership to the exclusive club, it appears that fans can only register to be put on the waitlist for now.

Construction moves quickly

Things certainly look like they have come together rather quickly in the past few months.

In January, another Jays fan posted photos of the work being done inside the stadium from their room in the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel.

In the pics shared on Reddit, the renovations on the new 200 Level feature were still in progress and the field itself had been pulled up from the floor to be replaced.

The Blue Jays are set to kick off their 50th season in just a few weeks, with the home opener set for March 27 against the Athletics.

After three games against the A’s, the Colorado Rockies come to town for a three-game set before the Jays head to Chicago for their first road games of the season against the White Sox. From there, the difficulty certainly picks up with a World Series rematch against the Los Angeles Dodgers starting on April 6 at home in Toronto.
