A Denver Police Department officer was arrested in Jefferson County on Friday on suspicion of felony eluding and reckless endangerment, agency officials said.
Christopher Thomas was hired as a Denver police officer in 2021 and is a patrol officer in District 1, the department said in a news release.
Because he was arrested on suspicion of a felony, he is suspended without pay while the case goes through the judicial process.
The department will start an administrative review after the criminal case is complete.
Additional information about Thomas’ arrest and next court appearance were not immediately available.
