Peak Design Unveils Four New Travel Bags, Including a Zip-Off 2-in-1 Backpack

Peak Design has expanded its Travel Line with four new bags. The launch marks the company’s 16th Kickstarter campaign and builds on its existing range of travel and camera carry solutions.
The new lineup includes a modular backpack system, a structured weekender duffel, a compact travel backpack and a small crossbody bag for essentials. All four models launch on Kickstarter on March 3, 2026, with retail availability starting June 2, 2026.

Travel Backpack 2-in-1
The Travel Backpack 2-in-1 is designed as a modular, two-piece system. It pairs a 34L base pack with a 16L zip-off daypack. When combined, the total capacity reaches 40L, making it suitable as a maximum-size international carry-on. The design is quite ingenious, allowing the two sections to be used together or separately.

The base pack is intended for main travel storage, while the smaller daypack can be used for daily outings once you reach your destination. The system is compatible with Peak Design’s Packing Cubes and Camera Cubes, making it suitable for both general travel and photography gear.

The bag is constructed from weatherproof recycled materials. It includes theft-deterrent features and discreet AirTag storage. A detachable, adjustable and stowable hip belt is included for load support on longer carry days.

Travel Weekender 25L

The Travel Weekender 25L is Peak Design’s first structured duffel. Unlike traditional soft duffels, this model is designed to hold its shape and stand upright. This makes packing and accessing contents easier.

The main compartment opens fully with a wide clamshell design, allowing clear visibility of the interior. Inside, there is a structured layout with stretch mesh and zippered pockets for smaller items. Dedicated padded sleeves fit a 16-inch laptop and a 13-inch tablet.

The base of the bag can fold, allowing it to compress for under-seat storage on flights. When not in use, it can collapse flat for storage. The design focuses on short trips and weekend travel while maintaining compatibility with the wider Travel Line system.

Travel Backpack 20L
The Travel Backpack 20L is the smallest backpack in the Travel Line. It is designed to function as both an everyday carry bag and a streamlined personal item for flights.

The main compartment is expandable and features a large clamshell opening for easy packing. Internal organisation is aimed at keeping essential items within reach. There is hidden storage for a water bottle as well as a discreet AirTag pocket.

A vertical luggage pass-through allows the bag to sit securely on a roller handle. This helps reduce shoulder load when moving through airports. External carry straps allow Peak Design’s Travel Tripod to be attached to the bottom of the bag.

Travel Crossbody 3L

The Travel Crossbody 3L is the smallest model in the new lineup. It is intended for carrying essentials and compact tech items during travel or daily use.

The interior uses an origami-style layout to separate and display smaller items, rather than stacking them in a single compartment. This layout is designed to make the contents easier to see and access.

On the exterior, there is a magnetic phone pocket that allows quick one-handed access. Like the other bags in the range, it is built from weatherproof recycled materials and durable hardware.
