Waterloo regional police say two teens have been arrested following online threats that were made against a Kitchener elementary school Wednesday.

Police said they received information about a threat to commit violence at the school had been made on social media and the school involved was notified.

Two teens, aged 16 and 17, were arrested Thursday.

They have been charged with uttering threats to cause death and were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
