Panthers sign veteran goaltender Louis Domingue to one-year deal

Netminder Louis Domingue is joining the two-time reigning Stanley Cup champions on a one-year, two-way deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Domingue gives the Panthers an experienced option behind their current crease, adding depth and insurance as they head into the stretch run.

The 32-year-old has played in 144 career NHL games across stints with Arizona, Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Vancouver, Calgary, Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers often as a backup. He has a .906 save percentage and 3.20 goals-against average.

Domingue made a surprise appearance with the Penguins during the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, stepping in to help secure an overtime victory in a first-round series against the New York Rangers.

He has also spent a significant amount of time in the AHL.
