Ex-police officer accused of making ‘sexually inappropriate’ comments
The ex-police officer faces a misconduct hearing next Monday (March 9)
An ex-police officer will face a misconduct hearing following allegations he made “inappropriate” comments to colleagues. A misconduct hearing will be held on Monday (March 9), looking into the actions of the former Cambridgeshire Police officer, PC Simon Taylor.
It’s alleged Mr Taylor made “sexually inappropriate and/or offensive” comments to female and male staff over two years. A police spokesperson said: “It is alleged that former PC 1255 Simon Taylor breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour as set out in Schedule 2 of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020, to the level of Gross Misconduct of: authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.
“Over the course of two years former PC Taylor has made sexually inappropriate and/or offensive comments to various colleagues both male and female.” The hearing will be held in-person in Tempsford.
