“Bro quit after not getting his 10 points” – NBA Fans Pile On LeBron James For Sitting Out Another Lakers Back-To-Back After 8-Pt Game

LA Lakers star LeBron James is listed as out for Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics. It’s the second night of a back-to-back for LA, and it’s not the first time James has been ruled out due to scheduling. James and the Lakers are coming off a 123-120 win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that James is listed as out due to right sciatica and left foot joint arthritis. Against the Raptors, the four-time All-Star played 35 minutes and scored eight points on 23.5% shooting. His streak of scoring at least 10+ points ended at 1,297 games on Thursday after he passed the final shot to Rui Hachimura.

After Charania confirmed the Lakers’ injury report, fans went to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about James.

“Bro quit after not getting his 10 points,” a fan said.

“Needs a rest after that 8 point explosion,” another fan commented.

“Was his last game of all time an 8 point stinker?” one fan said.

Other fans ruled out that the 2025-26 season is the last for LeBron James.

“No way this is his last season tho, no way he’s missing his last chance to play in Boston,” someone commented.

“You mean he’s retiring tonight. Because his 10+ point game streak is over. No point in playing the game anymore,” a comment read.

“The end is near…🥺😭” a fan pointed out.

James has played in six games this season, averaging 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists.

LeBron James had no regrets about his scoring streak breaking

Despite his streak snapping, LeBron James admitted he had no regrets. After the game, the four-time MVP told reporters that winning the game was more important. Passing up the final shot for a better and more open 3-pointer to Hachimura was a no-brainer for James.

According to him, getting his teammates involved has always been his brand of basketball.

“Just playing the game the right way. You always make the right play,” James said. “That’s just been my M.O. That’s how I was taught the game. I’ve done that my whole career.

“There wasn’t even one second of second-guessing that. Once they doubled AR [Austin Reaves], and the ball got swung to me, it was a numbers game, and we had a 4-on-3 advantage. I was just trying to put the ball on time, on target, and in Rui’s shooting pocket, and he knocked it down.”

With LeBron James struggling to score, the Lakers had to rely on Austin Reaves. The undrafted guard carried the team on his back, scoring 44 points, five rebounds and dishing 10 assists on 45.5% shooting from deep.
