It is official! Former WWE champions’ AEW Dynamite debut announced
Just moments ago, the AEW Dynamite debut of popular ex-WWE Superstars was made official. After fans had been highly anticipating their first TV appearance, they will now get to see it next week.
It was reported last month that following their time in TNA, The IInspiration (fka The IIconics) have signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion and were set to debut imminently. They made their first official appearance during AEW House Rules in their home country a few weeks ago, and even competed during the show.
Earlier tonight on Collision, they made their TV debut, appearing in a video package. They called out the Brawling Birds, following their brief confrontation during House Rules. They claimed that Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter had intentionally tried to steal their spotlight.
The IInspiration then confirmed that they were competing in their first TV match next week on AEW Dynamite.
Later on in the show, this was made official, and it was revealed that they are set for a direct collision course with the Brawling Birds. This tag team match will take place during Dynamite in El Paso, Texas.
This will be a tall order for the former WWE Superstars, as Hayter and Windsor have been on a roll since competing as a tag team. They have dominated every competitor they have shared the ring with, and they could soon have the same fate as them.
Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay will officially be entering the fray and joining an already stacked AEW women’s tag team division. Should they take down the Brawling Birds, this would make a big case for them as forces to be reckoned with. They could emerge as future challengers for the Babes of Wrath’s titles.
