Eileen Gu offers rare glimpse of Prada front-row seat alongside Caitlin Clark at Milan Fashion Week shortly after Olympic success
Eileen Gu recently attended Milan Fashion Week following an impressive outing at the Winter Olympics, which were held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The 22-year-old also shared a picture of herself with WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
Gu fared well at the Winter Olympics, winning a second successive gold in the halfpipe event ahead of compatriot Li Fanghi and Great Britain’s Zoe Atkin. However, she was unable to win a second consecutive gold in big air as Canada’s Meghan Oldham narrowly beat her. Oldham scored 180.75 while Gu amassed 179, thus settling for a silver.
Gu’s second silver at the Winter Olympics came in the slopestyle event, where she finished narrowly behind Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud. She was China’s most successful competitor at the Olympics, as Nang Zhongyan also won three medals, but with a gold and two bronzes, compared to the 22-year-old’s one gold and two silvers.
Following the Milan-Cortina Games, Gu was recently spotted at Prada’s show at the Milan Fashion Week. She met WNBA star Caitlin Clark, and the two sat in the front row during the show.
Gu also shared an image of herself with Clark at the event on her Instagram Stories, with her caption reading:
“Hi @caitlinclark22.”

Following Gu’s exploits at the Milan-Cortina Olympics, she now has a total of six medals, having previously won three at the 2022 edition, which took place in Beijing.
Eileen Gu on her mental preparations
In a recent interview with Fortune, Eileen Gu spoke about how she puts in a lot of effort as far as having a good mentality was concerned, which included “breaking down” all her thought processes.
“I spend a lot of time in my head … I journal a lot. I break down all of my thought processes. I apply a very analytical lens to my own thinking, and I modify it. You can control what you think. You can control how you think. And therefore, you can control who you are, and especially as a young person, I’m 22, so with neuroplasticity on my side, I can literally become exactly who I want to be,” Gu said.
February 2026 has been quite a month for Gu, on and off skiing, as apart from her Olympic exploits, she also featured on the Time edition for February 6. It will be interesting to see how the remainder of the year goes for the 22-year-old after what has been an incredible start for her.
