Video: Owner Reveals Real ‘Instigator’ Between Two Cats – CatTime

If you’ve ever watched pets argue, you know there’s always more going on than meets the eye. One animal looks completely innocent while the other somehow gets blamed every single time. And just when you think you’ve figured out who the troublemaker is, a new twist proves you wrong. That’s exactly what happens in a viral video where an owner finally exposes the real instigator between two cats.

Owner shows which cat is the real ‘instigator’ in funny video

Shared by the account @threenawtycats, the clip introduces viewers to two cats, Prince and Guccie, whose frequent scuffles have led many to assume they know who is to blame. On-screen text in the video reads, “Your tabby looks like the mean one. He must be the instigator.” The comment refers to Guccie, a tabby who often wears a stern, intimidating expression while lounging around the house.

The footage quickly challenges that assumption. While Guccie appears calm and unbothered, Prince quietly approaches and gently places a paw on him. The action seems small and almost innocent at first glance, but Guccie reacts immediately, clearly displeased by the contact. Within seconds, the calm moment escalates into a brief spat.

Another clip in the same video shows a similar pattern. Guccie is resting on his cat tree, paws stretched out, looking relaxed and minding his own business. Prince walks over and once again attempts to touch Guccie’s paw. The reaction is swift, and the encounter ends with both cats tumbling into yet another playful fight.

According to the caption, the owner wanted to set the record straight. “Prince is not as innocent as he looks, he’s the instigator 99% of the time,” they wrote, making it clear that Guccie’s serious expression has unfairly earned him the blame.

One user joked about the “brief shock and immediate defence” Guccie shows, suggesting Prince clearly knows how to provoke the exact response he wants. Another compared the behavior to a classic childhood move, writing, “I’m not touching you,” a reference to the teasing tactic of hovering just close enough to provoke a reaction.

Others described the pair’s dynamic as “sibling rivalry in furry format,” while some shared that the sweetest-looking pet in their own home often turns out to be the true troublemaker.
