Micah Parsons’ brother calls out NFL analyst for suggesting Packers would trade Jordan Love for Caleb Williams “in a heartbeat”

The rise of Caleb Williams in the 2025 season has led to comparisons with Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love for the best quarterback in the NFC North. After falling short of the lofty expectations in his rookie season, Williams played a crucial role in the success of the Chicago Bears last season.

Sports Illustrated’s Grant Cohn waded into the ongoing debate with a post on social media on Sunday, creating a frenzy in the NFL world. The San Francisco 49ers insider believes Williams is a much better player than Love, and the Packers would prove that if offered a chance to.

“The Packers would trade Jordan Love for Caleb Williams in a heartbeat,” Cohn wrote on X.

Cohn’s post immediately got a response from the brother of Packers’ edge rusher Micah Parsons’ brother, Terrence Parsons Jr. Believing the analyst should know better, the elder Parsons responded with a sharp and insulting question, further fueling the growing controversy around the debate.

“Are you sane.?” Parsons Jr. responded.

Caleb Williams threw for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns with seven interceptions during the regular season in 2025. Jordan Love, on the other hand, recorded 3,381 passing yards and 23 touchdowns with six interceptions. The debate on who’s better between the two is set to get even wilder next season.

Jordan Love makes the PFF’s top 101 players of the 2025 season, Caleb Williams misses out

Pro Football Focus assembled the top 101 players in terms of performance, irrespective of position, in the 2025 season. Amid the heightened debate between Jordan Love and Caleb Williams, the Packers quarterback was No. 37 on the list, while his Bears’ counterpart missed out

“Love made a definitive leap during the Packers’ 2025 campaign, helping the team look the part of a Super Bowl contender before injury,” PFF wrote. “His 88.7 PFF passing grade ranked second among qualified passers, and his 5.9% big-time throw rate also trailed only Matthew Stafford. Love diminished his turnover-worthy play rate from 3.2% to 2.6%, entering rarefied air this season.”

Love has landed on PFF’s season-ending top players list for the second time, first checking in at No. 89 in 2023. He joins safety Xavier McKinney (No. 66) and edge rusher Micah Parsons (No. 13) as the only three Green Bay Packers players to make the prestigious end-of-year rankings.
