“Are you out of your f**king mind?” – MJF confronts former WWE champion for his recent actions

A former WWE champion recently drew the ire of AEW World Champion MJF, prompting the Salt of the Earth to give them a piece of his mind.

On February 20, MJF took center stage at the House of Glory: No Turning Back event, defending his AEW World Championship against Zila Fatu. The thrilling match saw multiple ups and downs for the champ, but ended with the Wolf of Wrestling retaining his title after locking in his Salt of the Earth submission for a tap-out victory. One of those downs in the match for MJF was the unexpected interference from his AEW colleague, Andrade. The former WWE United States Champion appeared to prevent Friedman from using the AEW World Title as a weapon against Fatu at one point in the bout.

This didn’t sit well with MJF, who later confronted El Idolo backstage at the event, calling him out for getting involved.

“Hey, you bum! You want to get involved in my match? Are you out of your f***ing mind?,” said MJF (0:03-0:08)

Andrade then fired back, passionately declaring his intent to become the AEW World Champion. In response, Friedman warned the ex-WWE star, saying that if he came for him, he had better not miss.

“Let me explain something to you, tranquilo boy. If your eyes are on this title, then your eyes are on me because Hangman Adam Page is never going to be able to wrestle for this title again after I’m through with him, so if you want to come for me, you’d best not miss. You think you are a real Latino man? That’s cute, because you are looking into the eyes of a big Hebrew, gabron!” (0:47 – 1:08)

MJF takes new digs at WWE superstars

In a recent interview with the New York Post, MJF spoke about this year’s AEW Double or Nothing being held in New York and the momentum the promotion has been gaining. In that vein, the AEW World Champion then stated that certain ‘problem children’ have left All Elite Wrestling, seemingly alluding to the stars who left to join WWE.

To put it mildly, I don’t have to name names, it’s not necessary to name names, but problem children tend to have a way of finding their way out the door,” he said. [H/T: F4WOnline]

On the last Dynamite, Hangman Page challenged MJF to defend his title against him at Revolution 2026 in a Texas Deathmatch. It will be interesting to hear Friedman’s response next week.
