Cody Rhodes’ new name officially confirmed by WWE; character change spoiler
Cody Rhodes has been put through the wringer over the past few months, as he has pushed for a rematch against Drew McIntyre.
The American Nightmare failed at The Royal Rumble but is now pushing for Elimination Chamber, where he remains the favorite heading into the match. Ahead of the show, Rhodes has shared an update from WWEShop, which has unveiled their “Captain Rhodes” collection.
Thanks for the submission!
This could be a massive tease when it comes to what is to come for Rhodes, who has referred to himself as QB1 over the past few years.

Cody has been one of WWE’s biggest stars since making his return to the company, and in that time, he has been through a number of character changes.
Cody Rhodes is expected to main event WrestleMania 42
Cody Rhodes has been main eventing WrestleMania for the past few years, and his story was the one that dominated the buildup to WrestleMania 39 and 40. It seems that he is once again chasing the title heading into WrestleMania 42, but this time, he is going after Drew McIntyre.
While the Elimination Chamber is looking stacked at the moment, Rhodes is still seen as the favorite to emerge from the structure with a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship. Roman Reigns has already chosen CM Punk as his opponent following his Royal Rumble win, which means that Drew McIntyre is the man who awaits the winner of the Chamber.
Cody has been pushing for a rematch since losing his title to McIntyre, but the Scottish star put a clause in his title match that made it clear that he wouldn’t be handed a rematch and would instead be forced to fight for one. He has since attempted to win the Royal Rumble and now will look to go through the Chamber.
