A pedestrian on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway has died after being hit by a car on Thursday morning.
Hamilton Police are not releasing details of the person who died, saying paramedics got a call about a pedestrian who had been struck in the westbound lanes of the highway near the Garth Street overpass at about 6:52 a.m.
Police are seeking dash cam footage from people who were on the highway around that time.
“Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said a police release issued Thursday.
Police declined to release information on how the person was hit or anything about the driver.
The highway was closed from Upper James Street to Garth Street for several hours while police investigated, but has since reopened.
