What do you wear when the king comes to town? In Nigeria, fabrics like Isi Agu are used to mark special occasions, embodying strength, royalty, and prestige.

This short documentary follows Vancouver fashion designer Ogechukwu Ajibe, who’s colourful designs, and open hearted approach drive her inspiration. While she originally planned to be a psychologist, her passion for clothing inspired her to forge a new path.

Using a variety of Nigerian textiles, Ajibe’s work explores the power of fashion in connecting communities, while championing individual style and storytelling.
