Video: Cat Appears Surprised by Pigeon’s Activity Inside the House – CatTime

It is not every day you see a bird acting like it has a mortgage and a deadline to meet. Pam is a rescued domestic bird living his best life in Paris. You can see his whole routine over at @pam_thepigeon. He was rescued back in 2020 and has been a part of the multi-species household ever since. A new video shows Pam scurrying under the kitchen table while holding a piece of paper in his beak. He looks incredibly busy. And as soon as he zips past, the cat pops his head around the corner of the table. He looks genuinely confused and even concerned for the bird.

Cat reacts to pigeon’s activity around the house

The footage just keeps getting funnier as it goes on. Pam is constantly on the move. He is shuffling through the hallway carrying various “documents,” and he’s moving so fast. Every time he passes by, the cat is just standing there frozen. He follows the pigeon with his eyes the entire way. The in-video text even asks what that bird is doing again. “The cat’s face wondering what the pigeon is doing,” the owner wrote. It is a look of utter confusion, and maybe a little suspicion, too.

Pam is five years old now, and he’s basically a celebrity. He loves going for walks and getting scratches. But his absolute favorite thing is to bother the feline of the house. In the video, the pigeon ignores the cat completely while he finishes his filing.

One viewer joked that it looks like he is an office worker and the cat is the security guard. Another person mentioned that whatever he is doing, it definitely looks urgent. He has a lot of letters to deliver, and he’s clearly behind schedule.

The post has over 16,000 likes, and people are obsessed with the cat’s reaction shots. After every clip, there is a close-up of the cat’s face that is just priceless. He looks like he’s trying to make sense of his life. Someone in the comments said the pigeon has got to get the filing done before lunch. It’s just funny to see a bird with so much purpose. He is just power-walking through the rooms, and the cat can’t make head or tail of the entire process.
