3 Reasons why Uncle Howdy is returning to WWE singles competition

The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw an official announcement that the leader of MFT, Solo Sikoa, would lock horns with the leader of The Wyatt Sicks, Uncle Howdy, in a singles match next week.

Howdy hasn’t been seen in a singles bout in a long time, and now the Stamford-based promotion booked a major singles match. In this article, we take a look at three reasons why the 35-year-old superstar is back in singles competition after a long time on Friday Night SmackDown:

#3. The Wyatt Sicks experiment isn’t working as a group

The Stamford-based promotion had high hopes for The Wyatt Sicks, the very reason the heel faction was brought back with a bang to WWE Friday Night SmackDown, and given an opportunity to dominate the tag team division and make a name for themselves.

However, the experiment isn’t working. Hence, the creatives may now be considering a new path by putting Howdy in the singles match.

#2. It’s time to establish Uncle Howdy as a top WWE singles competitor

With World Wrestling Entertainment building new superstars and given the potential Howdy possesses, Triple H and his creative crew may have made their call to establish him as a singles competitor.

The 35-year-old superstar’s match against Solo Sikoa could be the perfect kickoff for him to enter singles competition and climb the ladder.

#1. To seek revenge on behalf of his late brother

The MFT and The Wyatt Sicks have been feuding on the blue brand for a long time. Sikoa turned this rivalry personal after stealing Howdy’s late brother Bray Wyatt’s signature Lantern.

The singles match could finally see Howdy punish the real-life Bloodline member next week, putting an end to their long feud.
