2nd man charged in fatal shooting of Woodbridge man last fall

A second man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 42-year-old Woodbridge man last September.

Investigators say Yueyuan Dong and several men became involved in a physical confrontation at an establishment in the Sheppard Avenue East and Brimley Road area on the evening of Sept. 24, 2025.

“The suspects then brandished a firearm and shot the victim,” Toronto police said in a release last fall.

Dong was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries nearly a month later on Oct. 19, 2025.

Donald Keeshig, 29, of Toronto, turned himself in to the police in November and was charged with second-degree murder.

Police say 29-year-old Kye-Shawne Griffith of Brampton was arrested on April 4, 2026, and charged with second-degree murder.

Investigators are still searching for 30-year-old Kai Chen of Markham, who is also wanted for second-degree murder.
